What is GIGA?
A personal Agent OS for Mac. One AI you talk to, with agents and teams behind it. Ask in your own words; GIGA makes a plan, hands each part to the right agent and brings back the finished file in your Library.
Is GIGA another chatbot?
No. Chat is the front door. Ask a question and GIGA answers it. Ask for work and it becomes a plan, a team and a file you can open. You see who is on which part, you can stop it any time, and every result lands in your Library.
Do I have to approve anything?
No. Work starts when you ask, and you judge the result. Want changes? Say so and a new version lands next to the first. Actions with consequences, like sending, publishing, spending or deleting, still go through a safety check that asks you when it should.

What is the difference between a personal Agent and a Team?
A personal Agent is one specialist of your own, with its own job, model, tools, skills and direct chat. A Team is a group of Agents with a lead that work through one plan together. One specialist can own the job: use an Agent. The job needs several roles: use a Team.
Do I need API keys?
No. Sign in with the AI plan you already pay for, or add a key for any provider if you prefer. One provider is enough to start.
Can I run local models?
Yes. The engine works with Ollama, LM Studio and llama.cpp, so an agent can run on an open model on your own Mac. Mix frontier and local models across your agents.
Do I also pay for AI models?
Yes, on your own account. The GIGA licence covers GIGA. Your provider charges for the models your agents use, and GIGA adds nothing on top.
Which files can it make?
Word documents, PDFs, slide decks, spreadsheets, images, diagrams, web pages you can preview and voiceovers. Images need a picture service in the engine, which a ChatGPT sign-in can provide. Video is opt-in; without it you get a storyboard, never a pretend clip.
Can my agents work while I'm away?
Yes, on a schedule. Routines run on time while GIGA is open, and one missed while it was closed runs when it opens again. Routines set up in the engine keep running with GIGA closed, as long as your Mac is on.
What is the difference between GIGA and Hermes?
Hermes, by Nous Research, is the open-source engine that runs each task: models, tools, skills and schedules. GIGA is the product on top, and what you pay for: the conversation and planning, the agents and the Starter Company, the Library, memory, personality, voice and the updates. GIGA installs Hermes for you.
Does everything stay local?
Yes. There is no GIGA cloud. Conversations, memory, agents and settings stay on your Mac, and results are files on your Mac. The only network calls are the ones your model provider and your connected apps need.
Why call it Jarvis-style?
Because one personal AI can understand what you want, run the work behind it, and stay accountable to you. Not because it does a voice impression.
